- Lead the development, deployment, and support of process, utility, and packaging control systems, to include overall system functional development, hardware and software specification, programming, documentation, deployment, commissioning, and support, as well as general project management and selection & management of outside suppliers and service providers
- Provide routine process and automation support to the Brewery to ensure all aspects of production are operating correctly, collaborating with other departments as needed
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance personnel on calibration, maintenance, and upgrade/replacement activities for equipment and instrumentation
- Assist with software infrastructure implementation in support of various control systems
- Provide guidance and training as appropriate to promote proper operation and maintenance of equipment, instruments, and control systems Please Apply if You Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved required
- 5 years Experience with industrial control infrastructure, PLC/PAC and HMI hardware and programming, process instrumentation required and
- Experience in a brewery or food processing facility preferred and
- Experience with design, deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting control systems associated with manufacturing equipment and processes preferred or
- In-depth knowledge of administration, configuration, and programming of industrial automation platforms such as Simatic STEP 7, TIA Portal, WinCC, RSLogix 5/500/5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, and DirectSoft
- In-depth knowledge of ProLeiT PlantIT/Brewmaxx on Siemens and/or Rockwell platforms
- In-depth knowledge of industrial networking protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, AS-i, IO-Link, DeviceNet, DH+, and Modbus
- Working knowledge of Inductive Automation's Ignition platform, Johnson Controls Metasys, PanelMate configuration Editor, and Wonderware
- Working knowledge of high-level programming and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, VB, C#, JS, and VBA
- Ability to interpret and create control schematics, P&IDs, and process descriptions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCad
- Ability to recognize and clearly report information
- Working knowledge of brewing and packaging concepts, principles, processes, and theories
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with and guide others
- Ability to be self-motivated and motivate others to persist in times of challenge or uncertainty

Get to Know This RoleThe Automation/Industrial Controls Engineer has overall responsibility for development, deployment, and support of process, utility, and packaging automation and control systems. This position will receive direction from various brewery departments and Engineering colleagues as well as from direct management and the Director of Plant Operations and has the ability to assess situations, make recommendations, and prioritize work based on their best judgment, taking into account both technical requirements and business needs.
