What does the role involve?

Reporting into our Head of Business Change, as the Lead Product Owner you'll manage a team of Product Owners across our Leeds and Newbury offices with a focus on our Consumer Finance and Vehicle Solutions propositions.

You'll ensure that we adopt a consistent approach to how products are developed by sharing best practice and be able to articulate a clear return on investment.

Some of your key duties will include:

Working with the Head of Business change to maintain the overarching product strategy and roadmap ensuring this is maintained and continually refreshed to meet the needs of the organisation
Enhancing the Product Owner brand across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders
Development and leadership of the Product Owner team, leading on best practice and building a strong Product community
Conveying the Vision and Goals of the team
Oversight of all Product Owner activities and roadmap prioritisation
Responsible for establishing KPIs to focus delivery and to enable benefits realisation

What are we looking for?

As the Lead Product Owner you'll be able to evidence your previous leadership and management experience that drive positive engagement and performance.

You'll have extensive experience of delivery within an agile environment and be comfortable working with agile IT teams.

You'll be joining us with strong analytical skills that enable you to drive forward business solutions and the financial capability to validate investment cases.

Also, we're looking for the following:

Proven track record of working effectively with delivery teams to provide day to day guidance to ensure successful delivery of change
Strong stakeholder management skills
Able to articulate solution design skills within a business environment
A certified Scrum Product Owner qualification is desirable
