    Description
    Are you an innovative, enthusiastic, organized, and experienced Occupational Therapist with at least 18 months post registration experience and a strong interest in rehabilitation? Would you like to work in a friendly and supportive team environment in an intermediate care unit?

    We are currently looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, to join our inpatient rehabilitation team at Crawley Hospital in West Sussex.

    To be successful in the post you must demonstrate a keen interest in care of the older person, and be able to deliver quality patient rehabilitation and discharge planning of complex patients within an intermediate care unit using evidence-based practice.

    To assist the multi-disciplinary team in preparing intervention plans, implementing rehabilitation and evaluating outcomes

    You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the caseload on a designated ward of 28 beds but be flexible to support the other two wards as staffing needs arise.

    Review and reflect on your practice through regular participation in professional supervision with your nominated occupational therapy supervisor. To provide clinical supervision to other members of the team, as agreed with the Therapy Lead.
    Professional qualification such as a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
    Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as an Occupational Therapist.
    Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses / CPD and reflective practice relevant to clinical speciality
    Training in student education
    Experience of supervising junior staff, assistants and students
