We are looking for a Personal Assistant to the Chief Underwriting Officer Corporate based in London.


Your Team


The Corporate Underwriting team comprises our Financial Lines, Liability, Property, Energy and Construction, Cyber and Alternative Risk Transfer lines of business alongside strategic functions such as Allianz Risk Consulting and Global Pricing.

Your key stakeholders will be the Chief Underwriter Officer Corporate and his Senior Management team.


The Impact You Will Have


In this role, you will provide an efficient and responsive administrative, organizational, and logístical service to the Chief Underwriting Officer Corporate, helping to manage and prioritize his time.

You will ensure that the Board Member can focus on strategic matters by processing delegable tasks. You also participate in important projects where involvement of the Board Management office is necessary.


Some of your specific responsibilities could include

  • Ensure busy diary commitments, papers, travel arrangements (flights, hotels, visa, personal bookings) are managed effectively including troubleshooting problems.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation requirements in connection with others and ensure arrangements in place for the board member.
  • Be responsible for the processing and payment of travel expenses and invoices.
  • Filter general information, queries, phone calls and invitations to the board member by redirecting or taking forward such contact as appropriate.
  • Liaise with relevant individuals, external organizations etc. to arrange meetings, prepare agendas and draft minutes.
  • Contribute to / coordinate adhoc projects and initiatives for the Board Management Office. This can include workshop preparations / minutes, Allianz Engagement Survey (AES) action items, etc.
  • Organize events such as offsites and leadership camps.

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Ideally a Bachelor's degree or secretarial qualification
  • Working experience in an administration/executive assistant/personal assistant role in a highly pressurized environment requiring tact, judgement, and discretion
  • Experience in diary management/researching and booking of travel and accommodation
  • Relevant working experience in a large organization in an international environment
  • Proficient at Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and anticipate needs
  • Ability to work autonomously, but also to be a great team player
  • Exceptional ability to multitask and work fast
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Very good communication skills, fluent in English with precise written English skills and an eye for detail
  • Good understanding of the insurance industry is highly beneficial
