This opportunity is a fulltime role based at their site in Fareham.
Training to be provided:
***As a Production Manufacturing Apprentice, you will be studying a Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship. Throughout your Apprenticeship with Safran, you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach.
- You will attend PETA's Havant training centre for offthejob training, one day per week for 39 months of the apprenticeship.
- Overall duration 45 months.
The job role is to start ASAP and training to start in April. Not suitable for school leavers 2024.
About the role:
Joining the team as a Production Manufacturing Apprentice, your role will be focused on learning a range of machining processes such as milling, turning and grinding within a workshop environment.
You will become competent in health & safety at work, carrying out continuous improvement activities and the inspection process within this apprenticeship.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out all bench processes to have a full understanding of metal removal, deburring and fettling methods
- Setting up and operate manual/ CNC machine tools across turning, milling and grinding
- Using a range of inspection methods and equipment to ensure product conformity
- Working closely with the Quality department to achieve an understanding of all regulations

- Over time, the role will develop to offer challenging new responsibilities to stretch your capabilities and understanding. Upon completion of your apprenticeship programme, there is the potential to be offered a fulltime position.
Our ideal Production Manufacturing Apprentice:

- You will also require:
- GCSE Maths and English grade C/4 or above / or equivalent
- Enthusiasm to problem solve and ask questions
- Methodical thinking
- Selfmotivation and initiative
- The ability to be a teamplayer
- Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Working week details:
- Core hours are 9am3pm Monday
- Thursday. And 9am12pm on a Friday.
Shift Pattern 1:
- 7.5 hours Monday Thursday and 7 hours on a Friday.
Shift Pattern 2:
- 8 hours Monday Thursday and 5 hours on a Friday.
Employees can start at between 6:30am - 9am as long as they complete their expected hours and work between the core hours.
