Missions essentielles
As the Plant Performance Manager in Knapton you will provide leadership through BOPEX frameworks to optimise plant performance, reliability and maintenance of the operational assets. Drive a CI & collaborative culture to meet asset care KPIs, manage maintenance budgets, CAPEX budgets, projects and work collaboratively with the site leadership team to drive 5-year planning and energy roadmaps. The PPM must lead by example to build and shape a culture promoting the highest HS&E standards and food safety compliance.
The role includes but is not limited to:
SHE
Leading by example to drive safety awareness and actively promote an open and proactive approach to safety on site.
Ensures that all activities on site are compliant with Group SHE
Safe management of employees and contractors
COMPLIANCE
Ensure that buildings, plant and equipment are fit for purpose, compliant. Provide proactive support and solutions when required.
Undertake routine audits of site standards (Gemba)
Work collaboratively with the leadership team to ensure the site is always compliant and audit ready maintaining the highest hygiene standards.
LEADERSHIP
Lead, engage and manage the maintenance team to develop a culture that strives to optimise and continuously improve plant performance.
Promote Boortmalt values and coach the maintenance team to achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring & evaluation job results to achieve the full potential from people.
Drive the culture to achieve zero out of specification product
Training & development plans ensuring that site engineering function operates to "best in industry" standards (standards which meet or exceed both internal & external customer's expectations).
Management of 3rd party contractors
ASSET CARE
Drive planned preventative maintenance strategy including the implementation of key service contracts.
Measure plant and process reliability and capability through KPIs, ensuring the reporting of group asset care KPIs is on time, in full and in line with the group asset care strategy.
Management of R&M budgets
CapEx planning & implementation on time and within budget.
Lead site team's input in the development of new engineering tools and systems
Drive and shape 5-year maintenance planning for the site.
OPERATIONS
Ensure Operational readiness for customer audits and technical reviews
Support customer/3rd party operational review meetings
Undertake appropriate root cause analysis of any out of specification result and recommend required corrective & preventive actions to avoid repeat occurrences
Actively support the progression of the site energy road-map and the associated activities initiatives in respect to energy management, energy footprint reduction and sustainability
Drive CI on site across all KPIs (Saftey, Quality, Environmental, Efficiency, Productivity & Reliability).
Master recherché
Graduate or equivalent in experience in similar/engineering/chemical engineering role
Significant operational experience within technical/engineering role in process driven industry with cross functional awareness and experience, preferably with team leadership or management experience. Knowledge of on site management of CHP equipment.
Fully familiar with Continuous Improvement principles, Energy Management, Process visualisation, Budget and Team Management, Total Safety.
Familiar with the use and deployment of engineering management systems, ideally Maximo.
Spoken and written English is required
