At Leeds Trinity University, we aspire to make a difference to the people, the professions and the places that we serve, and we are looking for talented and enthusiastic people to join our University community. We are ranked top in Yorkshire for learning community and pride ourselves on being the University where our students are a name, not just a number. The University has a distinctive, employability-focused educational offer and works closely with employers to address the skills needs of today's workforce. Applications are invited for the following post:
College Liaison Tutor
Hours of Work: Full-time - 35 hours (3 positions available)
Contract type: Fixed term for 6 months
Leeds Trinity University is looking to appoint an experienced academic to support the University's Collaborative partnership delivery. Co-ordinated through the Academic Partnerships Unit (APU), the University offers outstanding educational opportunities and experiences to a diverse range of students across the UK. As part of a growing, forward-thinking team, an inclusive, pro-active, confident, and professional approach is essential, together with a desire to provide a high standard of service to our partners and internal staff and to continuously strive to improve the APU academic function and operation.
For this key role, we are seeking an individual with experience in teaching and liaison/coordination activities within Higher Education, ideally with an academic background in business, management, marketing or computer science. You will be responsible for assuring the quality of student experience, teaching, learning and assessment at the partner college through teaching observations, participating in standardisation and assessment meetings, marking and moderation, developing course material working with and mentoring partner staff and coordinating with the partner college on day-to-day operational activity.
Knowledge of University academic regulations, processes and procedures and a good understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with working with a diverse range of students at undergraduate and postgraduate level are essential for this post. Above all, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate expertise in key aspects of teaching, learning and quality assurance, and a commitment to providing the best possible student experience.
You will be required to work across our Horsforth Campus and Leeds City centre campus as well as home working, to be discussed.
The postholder will support partner/s at various UK locations therefore there will be additional travel to London and other campus sites when required.
For more information or for an informal conversation, please contact Claire Newhouse.
This advert will close as soon as we receive a suitable number of applications.
Interviews for these posts are expected to take place week commencing 22nd April 2024.

Leeds Trinity University values diversity and inclusion and particularly encourages applications from the following groups as they are currently under-represented at this level within the University: Women, LGBT+ and Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic applicants, as well as candidates with disabilities, whether hidden or otherwise. The University will consider all forms of flexible working arrangements.
