Aboutthe
Reporting to the Security Systems Manager,you'll work with the team to maintain, fault find and upgrade the Drax securitysystem infrastructure across all our sites in the UK to ensure we provide astable, secure and resilient security platform for the business The role offersa great balance of work between onsite service/installation and office basedtasks.
Some of your responsibilities inthis role will include –
Work with the team to provide expert support on Drax's security infrastructure including CCTV, access control, intruder, perimeter intrusion detection, barrier, gates, and turnstile systems.
Organise the preventative maintenance schedule with our contractors, ensuring all visits to our sites are documented.Deliver assigned security projects in scope and on time.
Assist the Security Systems Analysts and Security Systems Apprentice with the daily BAU tasks
Step in for the Security Systems Manager during any leave or absences.
Join the teams on call rota, so we can provide support to the business 24/7
Our standard working hours are8:30-4:45 Monday – Thursday with an early finish at 3:45pm on a Friday. You'llsometimes need to be flexible around these hours due to the nature of thisrole.
As mentioned above you'll cover all of our sites across the UK meaningthere will be times where you'll be working away from home.
Aboutyou
To be successful in this role you'llneed to have the following:
Experience working in a large industrial environment.
Good understanding of CCTV network technologies, infrastructure and processes
Experience in maintaining, fault finding and installing large IP CCTV systems.
Experience in maintaining, fault finding and installing large enterprise access control systems.
Experience in maintaining, fault finding and installing large intruder alarm systems.
Excellent documentation skills
Health & safety training to IOSH standard or higher (training can be provided for the right candidate)
Good understanding of the different communication cable types.
Knowledge of TCP/IP network configuration
Full UK driving license.
