    AboutYou

    You will be aforward-thinking, self-motivated SRE who is able to demonstrate abreadth of technical experience, as well as your ability tosupport, shape and influence others to build a strong SRE functionwithin the business that is continuing to grow in this area duringa period of transformation.

    This modern development team areworking on greenfield applications and are truly passionate andmotivated to ensure what they do really aligns to their vision ofbeing the leading provider of innovative healthcare technologysolutions.

    You will be working with a focuson AWS and DataDog to help the team maintain their cloud basedapplications and services to ensure optimal performances, cost,reliability and scalability on an Agile ReleaseTrain.

    What you'll bedoing

    This is a position thatwill really allow you to help shape the SRE function. You will helpthe team to be the best they can possible be across the entirety ofthe process within our AWS-based infrastructure to support ourapplications and services that have millions ofusers.

    As well as this, you'll be involvedwith using DataDog to identify and address issues within the systembefore they become problems, helping core products to operate atpeak efficiency, and ensuring a 24/7 liveuptime.

    The team are always striving to be thebest they can be, so you'll be involved with helping tocontinuously improve and optimise our infrastructure and processesto help us increase performance, reliability, andscalability.

    Other key responsibilities andaccountabilities will include;

    - Setupalerting and operational monitoring procedures to ensure teams arenotified of issues.
    - Define monitoring standards forcloud services and support teams in implementation
    -Ensure SLAs (performance, cost etc.) are defined and met
    - Respond to issues raised and ensure the right tooling, access andremediations are in place
    - Implement security bestpractices and maintain compliance with industrystandards
    - Maintain an understanding of the apps andservices as a whole system view
    - Participate in on-callrotation to quickly respond to and resolve systemissues

    You will demonstrate proven experiencein web application and API testing, with knowledge of testingmethodologies and tools.

    Technical skills weare hoping for you to demonstrate include;

    -Significant experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer or ina similar role
    - Proven ability in designing anddeploying cloud-based infrastructure on AWS
    - Experiencewith monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog, CloudWatch, andSplunk
    - Proficient in scripting languages such asPython or Bash
    - Experience with automation tools suchas Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
    -Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker andKubernetes

    Please note whilst the role isfully remote you must be UK based as there may be a requirement onoccasion to travel to one of the teams collaborationhubs.
