Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for an award-winning client based in Birmingham our forward thinking client is looking to add an experienced Credit Controller to their team.

Responsibilities:

Credit Control_

  • Run Aged Debtors report relating to a range of accounts looked after by individual credit controllers
  • Deal with queries raised on outstanding invoices
  • Look into accounts once credit limit has been reached before releasing any further orders.
  • Liaise with the Sales Department to help assist with accounts and releasing of orders
  • Liaise with Account Managers to assist with difficult accounts
  • Send a breakdown of consolidate invoices to customers who receive these
  • Create manual invoices on request
  • Release orders for despatch to customers
  • Respond to direct delivery request with authorisation of release, or reasons for holding order

Release Stopped Orders_

  • Produces a list of accounts that have reached their credit limit or have overdue invoices on their account. This is a manual process to release to override the release of sales orders for despatch.

Setting up New Accounts_

  • Run D&B Report this will determine if the customer is credit worthy
  • Liaise with the Sales Department for Company Reg Numbers and correct address if needed
  • If successful an amount will be placed on their account and the order will in turn automatically be released
  • If unsuccessful pass over to the Accounts Office Manager for further checks

Cash Allocations_

  • List of all BAC payments into our bank is posted to the relevant accounts from our daily bank statement
  • Find remittance from remittance file and marry up with bank receipts
  • Where no remittances telephone the Company and request the info which will be needed to clear the payment
  • Post and allocate payments against invoices
  • Add cheques received and follow process as above

Absence Cover_

  • Setting up new accounts
  • Invoicing goods going direct to customer
  • Action order amendment requests
  • Process invoice run
  • Process invoice / cash batches through Barclays invoice Discounting
