- Execute Plant Layout and Piping design and drafting activities within budget and schedule.
- Carry out design and drafting tasks (Concept, FEED & Detailed Design).
- Prepare Plant Layout and Piping drawings and design deliverables to the required technical quality with minimal input from engineering personnel.
- Conduct detailed checks on others' work.
- Supervise small design teams on larger projects.
- Assist in the training of junior designers.
- Experienced Designer with a solid technical background and expertise in CAD design software - 2D AutoCAD and 3D E3D software are essential.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards set by Wood.
- Identify scope and schedule changes following the Change Control Process.
- Verify that designs meet the relevant Standards and procedures.
- Offer technical support to assigned personnel as needed.
- Ensure all assigned work aligns with the agreed budget and schedule.
- Stay updated on technical advancements, National and International standards, and legislative requirements relevant to the discipline scope.
- Experience with remote execution centres is advantageous.
- Maintain effective communication with the Client.
- Manage discipline filing system.
- ONC or equivalent in suitable engineering subject is necessary.
- HNC or equivalent in relevant engineering subject is preferred.
- Capable of conducting onshore site surveys following Wood Health & Safety guidelines.
- Create base design drawings/models from agreed workscope.
- Extensive experience in Brownfield modification projects.
- Proficient in using computers (databases/spreadsheets).
- Familiar with codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation related to piping design.
