- To ensure the high standard of person-centred care delivery to all the people we support within the home including personal hygiene, domestic environment and leisure activities.
- To continually monitor and record the progress of the people we support within the home by regularly monitoring and assisting senior support workers and support staff to develop support plans, risk assessments and evaluate them.
- To promote the use of autism strategies and practice and ensures that the autism methodology is implemented throughout the service.
- To organise and facilitate annual reviews of the individuals that live within the service and produce reports, to organise and facilitate person centred planning meetings for individuals within the service.
- To ensure that client meetings are carried out in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Support the Registered Manager and Development Team with assessment and transitions of new people.
- To work with health and social care professionals to ensure that individuals support needs are met.
- To organise and chair strategy meetings to address behavioural concerns with individuals, and to liaise and update the wider support team.
- To take responsibility for the smooth running of the team of support staff and to delegate tasks are required to Senior Support Workers and Support Workers.
- Ensuring that all staff incorporate the values and vision of the organisation into their daily support of the people we support.
- To ensure that regular bi-monthly supervisions are being carried out for support staff that work in the service.
- To ensure that performance reviews of support staff are carried out annually.
- To act as a positive role model for staff teams.
- To continually strive and promote the professional development of the team.
- To lead staff meetings and to promote positive communication across the teams.
- To deal with poor performance within teams quickly and effectively.
- Manage sickness in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures.
- To ensure that all staff receive a comprehensive induction to working within the service.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding and compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies and procedures.
- To demonstrate an understanding of the MCA, Best Interest and DoLS frameworks and to ensure that legal requirements of these are met.
- To respond to complaints from clients and their representatives in accordance with organisational policy, and if unable to resolve bring to the attention of the Registered Manager.
- Ensure that all financial procedures are being adhered to and reports any discrepancies to the Registered Managers.
- Ensure that all medication policies and procedures are followed and medication is dispensed correctly and medication recording systems are accurate. To liaise with the pharmacy around individual's medication needs.
- To ensure that all Health and Safety procedures and requirements implemented by the Registered Manager are followed by the staff team, this will include ensuring that risk assessments are reviewed,
- Engage and communicate professionally with all stakeholders in ensuring expectations and needs are met.
- Develop questionnaires for people we support and present an analysis of the same, with the approval of the Registered Manager.
- Monitor quality of the above tasks through the audit process.
- In the absence of the Registered Manager, host visits by authorised visitors from the Care Quality Commission, Quality Assurance Teams and other Health and Social Care Professionals and to work with them in a professional manner.
- Attends development and planning meetings as requested by the Registered Manager.
- Support the Registered Manager with recruitment of staff.
- Plans and develops staff rotas in collaboration with the Registered Manager.
- Ensures the smooth running of rotas on the electronic system and liaison with the Staffing Department.
- In conjunction with the Registered Manager, oversee the budget for the service and ensures that financial control is kept.
- Ensure that the buildings in which the services are run from are properly maintained and maintenance issues are reported to the Estates and Facilities Teams without delay.

Main functions of the post:
To take responsibility for the operational running of a Residential Service under the direction guidance of the Registered Manager.
To lead and direct the Senior Support staff and Support Workers to ensure that a high standard of care and support is given in accordance with CQC standards.
To actively promote the development of autism specific techniques and approaches to support individuals living within the service.
The Residential Home Manager will be expected to work across individual teams of staff and will be responsible for ensuring that he/she provides positive and effective leadership and development within the teams to ensure that the Residential home is ran effectively.
The Residential Home Manager will be responsible for the health, welfare and emotional development of the people we support within the service.
