    Description
    Moorcroft Wood Primary School
    Email - Head of School: Mrs J Wakelam Class Teacher within our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP)
    Fixed Term – 01/09/2024 – 31/08/2025
    Salary – M1 £30,000 – M6 £41,333 with SEN allowance

    Moorcroft Wood School is a one form entry primary school; situated next to Moorcroft Wood, we are extremely lucky to have extensive school grounds.

    Our School vision is Nurture, Feed, Grow and Succeed within a happy, caring, friendly learning environment that promotes self-esteem, enabling pupils to enjoy learning and achieve their full potential.

    We are proud to be part of The Lighthouse Federation, founded in 2021 and made up of nine schools all working collaboratively.

    Our SRP opens in September 2024 supporting eight pupils who have an Education Health and Care Plan with the primary need identified as Autism.

    We need you to be a highly effective teacher, with a passion for SEND to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.

    To ensure the SRP meets the statutory requirements of the SEN Code of Practice
    Ensure that the curriculum is in line with pupils' needs as set out in their Education, Health and Care Plan
    To effectively tailor learning to take account of each pupil's needs and learning styles
    To model high quality interactions with pupils
    To communicate effectively with children, parents and colleagues
    To actively promote positive links and understanding between pupils within mainstream classes and the SRP
    To be able to effectively write, review and carry out personalised education plans, including any associated risk assessments
    To make effective use of data to monitor and evaluate pupil progress across the curriculum in order to inform teaching and learning planning
    To make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.
