- full member of the Institute of Fire Engineers, (CEng, MIFireE) would be desirable.
- expertise in delivering fire safety engineering solutions in a multi-disciplinary environment with solid experience in developing fire strategies, undertaking engineering analysis and applying performance-based designs
- with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- leadership, planning and practical solution skills.
- familiar with RIBA stages of design or other design frameworks (e.g. GRIP) and understand the total fire concept: from the client brief through to construction and operation, the fire engineering challenges relevant to different design stages and the level/type of fire engineering input required to progress the design and contribute to completion.
- fire safety assessments and develop fire safety strategies for a variety of building types and occupancies.
