We have strong community links, particularly with our local library and primary schools within the Calderglen Learning Community. Most of our pupils move on to Calderglen High School after P7.It is a legal requirement for any teacher teaching in a Scottish state school to be registered with GTC Scotland, General Teaching Council (Scotland) Registration.
Holding the Standard for Headship became a prerequisite for teachers taking up their first permanent headteacher post at Local Authority and grant-aided schools in Scotland from 1 August 2020, under Section 28 of the Education (Scotland) Act 2016.
