Equifind are working with a renowned asset management firm in London who are looking to add a qualified accountant to the team to undertake a process improvement project for the next 12 months.


This is a brilliant opportunity to start straight away in a great organisation and assist them with enhancing the financial reporting processes for the years ahead.

Some key duties and responsibilities for this accountant position include:

  • Investigate the controls and financial framework to gain a strong understanding of current procedures
  • Review the current processes for revenue, such as the billing and collection processes, and lead the project to enhance the efficiency and controls of these functions
  • Document all process improvements and control amendments
  • Review client fees calculations
  • Maintain the monthly aged debtor analysis and reconcile any differences that occur
  • Provide AUM and fee data analysis to support the monthly management reporting
  • Prepare monthly income accruals and post to the ledger
  • Support other ongoing specialist projects in the team as and when required
  • Ad hoc projects as and when required by senior management
Experience & Qualifications

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 35 years'PQE
  • A strong background in audit and a controls environment
  • Experience of working in the asset management or financial services sector
  • Experience of reporting under UK GAAP
  • Used to working in a flexible and agile environment to meet deadlines accordingly
  • Strong history of working with closely stakeholders

A renowned asset management firm in London that advises institutions and wealthy individuals. Many of the clients are international with business interests in a variety of assets.


Since the business has been in operation, it has managed over $10 billion of assets and has a proven track record in delivering great returns for their clients.


The finance team has around 12 heads in the UK office so you will work closely with the rest of the team so you can get a strong understanding of the controls and processes that are currently in place.


The business is situated in a vibrant office in London and requires someone willing to work in the office 3 times per week.

The team are very sociable and there are regular outings to enhance the company culture and collaboration.

Salary

This exciting opportunity for an accountant will pay £75-80k per annum depending on your background and experience.
