Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client in Ballyclare to recruit a full time and permanent Business Development Manager to join their freight forwarding and customs division.
The successful candidate hired for this role will be responsible for managing and maintaining the existing customer base, actively sourcing new business and helping to develop other business activities within the company with the objective of increasing revenue and improving profitability.
Making regular contact with existing customers, taking ownership and developing the business relationship while ensuring the customer is receiving the high level of service expected.
Develop and grow existing customer accounts by ensuring all business opportunities have been explored.Research the marketplace to establish links with potential new customers and continuously introduce and develop new customer accounts.
Research and develop other business activities and opportunities outside the core business.
Liaise with other Group Directors and the Finance Director to understand the business sales strategy and integrate into the company.
Liaise with Finance and Business Analytics departments to ensure that costings and rate schedules are prepared using the correct methodology.
Produce weekly sales reports, updating management on old and new accounts.It is 100% essential that applicants have experience in Global Freight Forwarding.
Proven successful business development and/or account management experience in the UK and Ireland.
Highly motivated, personable, professional and able to cultivate long-term business relationships.
Minimum of 3 years account management experience.
High level of IT literacy with experience using Microsoft Office - including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Able to travel within the UK and Ireland as required.
Experience of working with a CRM system and sales pipeline management.
