This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse, fun and fast-growing business as their Finance Business Partner.

This is a very ambitious business that would suit someone who wants to work in an operational and hands on finance role.

Butler Rose are delighted to be working with this fantastic business based in the Carlisle area.

They have a strong brand in their field, with a rich history and loyal customer base spanning many years, they are part of a larger group and currently havea turnover just short of £50 million with plans to grow further.


Your new role as Finance Business Partner:

Your duties will include:
Organising and thoroughly reviewing balance sheet reconciliations for review with Finance Director.

Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of stock holding including stock provision, investigating any discrepancies between the reporting systems.

Acting as the primary point of contact and liaison with internal and external auditors, maintaining excellent relationships. Ensuring any audit recommendations are actioned and implemented.

Planning and coordinating timely submission of forecasts, budgets and year end reports as required by Head Office.

Daily/weekly/monthly reporting as required for sales, margin, EBIT and cash. Providing insightful commentary and highlighting any variances.

Working with Sales Directors to review latest forecasts, profitability of customers, accuracy of sales rebates, to drive channel growth.

Providing financial and commercial support to the business via financial evaluations, with recommendations to support sales and EBIT growth.

Treasury management, including authorisation of supplier payments and ensuring bank accounts appropriately funded.

Managing customer rebate provisions, including monthly reconciliation and accurately reflected in ERPs.

Deputising for Finance Director as required.

Providing positive leadership that will continuously develop the financial activities, embedding a continuous improvement culture.

Maintaining high levels of communication across all departments and excellent collaboration ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements.

Managing projects as and where required by the business.


The Experience & Qualifications Required:
Highest levels of professional standards, integrity and confidentiality.

Team player who motivates and develops direct reports and other team members.

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform to produce results in a team environment.

Fully qualified accountant with 3 years PQE

In depth knowledge of latest financial standards

Experience and a successful track record of working in a financial control environment

The ability to manage multiple projects/priorities is required.

Excellent analytical skills and ability to assimilate data from various sources and synthesise inputs into actionable plans.

Your Reward & The Package On Offer:
As Finance Director, you shall receive
A salary of up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience

Profit related annual bonus

Private Health Care

Company Pension - 6% employer contribution

25 days holiday plus bank increasing up to 28 with length of service
