Lusona Consultancy have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant to join our client within the energy and utilities sector, based in Glasgow.

This role will sit within a key area of the business, involving in depth financial analysisand reporting, alongside various stakeholder engagement across the wider business.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the process of management reporting information including KPIs and appropriate commentary/analysis
  • Highlighting areas for potential improvement from results
  • Managing on a monthly basis, aspects within the accounting system to ensure the correct calculations of key areas such as revenue and costing are made.
  • Producing analysis on the statutory accounting process
  • Preparing specific monthly and quarterly returns with the corresponding analysis
  • Liaising with the external auditors regarding analysis
  • Assessing areas of improvement and how this will impact the overall business via controls and financial procedures
Applicants will be ambitious Qualified Accountants (ICAS/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW), with in depth analysis and excel skills. You will have an enquiring mind and enjoy working with various stakeholders to drive improvement. This role is suitable for those from anindustry and commerce, accountancy practice or financial services background. Perfect for those looking to make their first post qualified step in their career. Those who are exam finalist stage, ready to complete their qualification, may also be considered.
