An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Futures programme Co-ordinator within the Careers and Ideas department at Cardiff and Vale College.

This role will be based at the City Centre Campus.


Responsibilities include:

  • To be the designated person responsible for coordinating and implementing the actions required to make the decision for the right programme for the Futures learners.
  • To liaise with MIS/CBMs to ensure that learners appear on College systems in a way that is appropriate and accurate.
  • To act as a key contact for young people, parents/carers, schools, local authorities and other stakeholders in relation to Futures provision.
  • To be the designated person responsible for coordinating the actions required to assist with any additional learning needs.
  • To ensure that reviews are timely, robust and support each young person's aspirations.
  • To ensure that all learners have the opportunity to progress and that offers are given (where appropriate) into alternative provision for the following academic year.
  • To act as a champion and advocate for learners who are engaged in the Futures provision.
  • To give support to learners' families/carers where appropriate.
  • To represent the Futures provision at open evenings, parent/carer information events and local school events, acting as an ambassador for CAVC.
  • Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role.

These are contractual agreements that must be in place before your employment can commence.
