    Description

    Warehouse Supervisor

    The primary objective of the role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will work closely with team members to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.

    ​

    Shift Pattern:

    10hrs per shift, 50 hours per week * 5 days ( flexibility required)

    Main duties/ responsibilities:

  • ​ A 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to take on significant challenges
  • Creating and developing a team working environment.
  • Work with management to coordinate staffing across the site
  • Monitor and track the movement of goods and vehicles. Monitor and improve the efficiency of warehouse operations
  • Ensure compliance with transport and warehouse regulations and standards
  • Liaise with drivers, warehouse, and office staff to ensure smooth transport and warehouse operations. Train and supervise warehouse staff and office staff, providing guidance and support
  • Work closely with onsite management to assess and improve any parts of the operation as required, and provide support on implementation of new processes as required
  • Provide support across the business as required. Resolving any freight issues and acting as an intermediary between the customer and the operation
  • Build relationships with Clients through constant contact and advocacy by offering advice, solutions, and proactive issue management. Coordinate with warehouse, office and drivers, and other staff to ensure timely and efficient warehouse and transportation services.
  • Working with management, conduct necessary steps to determine the cause of problems like accidents (if any arise) and to set up safety measures to avoid the recurrence of such issues.
  • Maintain an open dialogue with other units to assist in the daily operation if required
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations team, including preparing reports, answering customer inquiries, and managing the office
  • Assist with planning for any special projects as they arise
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to warehouse issues
  • Any other task as mentioned by the management
  • Provide cover for ETSF or ATF operations as required (training on specific systems will be given)
  • Ensure warehouse teams comply with all instructions issued by management
  • Working with Team Leads, ensure warehouse is kept up to a good, clean standard, with regular inspections as required to assess
  • Working with Team Leads, ensure teams are aware of, and adhere to issued processes
  • Help with investigations regards to any shipments as requested by management, tracking through use of CCTV as needed
  • Working with management, conduct necessary steps to determine the cause of problems related to missing and damaged freight, and assist in dealing with them as required
  • Provide assistance and cover for screening as required, including X-Ray, ETD and FREDDs
  • Assisting HR department and other departments as and when required
  • Any other business requirements or operational needs.
  • Assist and develop new business as it arises

    • Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of the operations freight, logistics , screening
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application and using system
  • Managing Team
  • Experience in similar industry of the operations freight, logistics

    Professional Qualification or experience required:

  • Valid Counter-Balance Forklift License
