    Business Intelligence Manager - United Kingdom - SmartestEnergy Limited

    Description

    You will lead on analytical and business intelligence activity across Metering by taking a lead role in driving business performance, reducing risk and adding value to projects through insights.

    Working closely with stakeholders across each business category to make smarter decisions through the analysis of commercial data, working to improve accuracy, speed of delivery and effectiveness through changes and implementations of processes and systems;
    Presenting information back to senior stakeholders so that they understand how to be more successful in their roles based on analytics that your function will provide;
    Identifying data quality issues and initiating rectification with the most appropriate solution coordinating with wider change team where required;
    Understanding development, reports, and dashboards so as to be in a better position to interpret requirements from the business;
    Identify data owners of source information with origination and authoritative sources, capture known data quality issues and document business transformation rules;
    Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria and metrics;

    Ability to interpret industry data to ensure best practices and ways of working within the Metering and Settlements team to manage workloads.

    Work experience in similar position previously with transferable experience;
    SQL Server Querying/ Programming skills andPower BI experience;
    Expert knowledge of the Microsoft provided technology stack (both traditional relational database platforms and Azure (cloud) based database and advanced analytics tools );

    What does hybrid working mean to us?

    Hybrid working typically means 2 days in the office location listed on this advert and 3 days working at home each week.

    Some occasional travel to our other offices may be required.

    The average process once we receive your application takes around 2-3 weeks with typically 2 stages of video interviews using Teams – however this can change depending on the role (we may invite you to see us face to face or just need 1 video interview).
