    Description

    Our client is a major player in the Scottish housing market, looking for a skilled Contracts Manager to oversee multiple large residential projects in Edinburgh & the Lothians.

    The ideal candidate should have a solid background in housebuilding, top-notch project management skills, and the ability to lead teams for successful construction projects within set timelines and budgets.

    Key Requirements of the Role:

    • Manage and oversee multiple residential construction projects.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Monitor project progress and address any arising issues.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Prepare and manage project budgets.
    • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements.
    • Report on project status to senior management.
    • Foster strong client relationships.
    • Implement effective communication among stakeholders.

    Experience & Qualifications Required:

    • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in housebuilding.
    • Strong understanding of construction processes specific to residential projects.
    • Excellent project management, leadership, and team management skills.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Preferably, a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
    • Professional certifications like MRICS are advantageous.
