A brilliant opportunity has arisen within Salford's Education Inclusion team.

We are looking for a passionate, child-centred Education Inclusion Officer to join our successful and dynamic team.

Your role will be crucial in providing credible professional consultation and guidance for schools and wider children's services colleagues to assist in decision making in relation to education.

In particular, you will be promoting and supporting the education provision for children and young people at, or at risk of, educational neglect.

You will need to have successful experience working with schools and other professionals.

You will need to have thorough knowledge and experience of schools' statutory responsibilities around admissions, attendance, exclusions, SEND and safeguarding.

Ideally, you will have at least 3 years experience in a school/education setting, working closely with senior leaders in schools.

You will also need to be a problem solver, experienced in working to secure the best outcomes for children and be able to work with different agencies, using your exceptional interpersonal skills.

You will have knowledge of the impact of early trauma and attachment difficulties and the barriers these difficulties can create in pupils' learning.

You will have the ability to maintain effective professional relationships at all levels and manage complex meetings. You will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic and well organised with the flexibility to meet deadlines.

In return, you will have the support of a great team, with good training and excellent opportunities for professional development.

We are proud of our Education Inclusion team and are looking for someone special to join us.

The Education Inclusion Officer will have shared responsibility for the operational delivery of our Access to Education policy.
