This is an ideal opportunity for individuals interested in entering the insurance field. You will receive support for your development, including an insurance qualification and exposure to our products. Whether you are a recent graduate, changing careers, or returning to work, as long as you possess strong analytical and communication skills, your background is not a concern. We are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our team in Manchester on a 2-year fixed term contract. Working closely with a team of underwriters, you will have the chance to build a successful career in this competitive industry. As part of the Underwriting team, you will enhance your insurance skill set through mentorship, professional qualifications via an apprenticeship, and on-the-job training. Travelers Europe offers flexibility with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing employees to work three days in the office and two days remotely. - Role Eligibility: £1,000 new joiner bonus eligible; employee referrals can also qualify for this bonus. - What Will You Do? - Gather and analyze essential information to assess business risk acceptability. - Develop relationships with brokers to support business objectives. - Engage in comprehensive training to underwrite, sell, negotiate with, and influence brokers for profitable business management. - Establish and nurture relationships with Travelers employees to create sales plans and participate in underwriting activities that drive business growth and profitability. - Actively contribute to sales and underwriting meetings and support team goals effectively. - Deliver exceptional customer service. - What is a Must Have? A-Levels or equivalent qualification - What's in It for You? - Private Medical Insurance: Single cover provided with the option to add dependents at your expense. - Retirement: Core percentage salary contribution to your Pension Plan. Increased company contribution upon personal contributions. - Holiday Entitlement: Minimum 25 days holiday annually.
