- Contribute to the development of novel methodologies and algorithms for the analysis of cancer DNA.
- Analyse, summarize and interpret NGS data sets using existing and customized approaches.
Contribute to technology development by providing insights into computational solutions and identifying suitable workflows. - Develop production ready, regulatory compliant code.
- Support the rollout of Neogenomics' analysis pipelines.
- Provide support to clinical, business development and other departments for novel and existing products Education, Experience & Qualifications:
- PhD in the field of computational biology/bioinformatics/applied statistics, or MSc and significant experience in that space.
- Experience with next generation sequence data analysis (Essential)
- Experience in novel algorithm development, data mining and machine learning (Essential).
- Scientific programming experience, using either R or Python (Essential).
- Experience with container development such as Docker, Nextflow and/or AWS (Desired).
- Experience with variant calling, exome/WGS pipelines or other high-throughput genomics workflows (Desired).
- Experience with cancer genomics or related data sets (e.g. epigenetics) (Desired).
- Prior experience with work in a regulated environment, in particular for software and quality assurance, such as ISO 13485, EN 62304, ISO 15189, or other (Desired).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Position Summary:
As a Bioinformatics Scientist you will develop and optimize our Comprehensive Genome Panel analysis pipeline while also coordinating with the bench development team. This position offers the exciting opportunity to work at the frontier of cancer diagnostics while seeing the entire product development pipeline from concept, clinical validation, to commercial product. This role will involve the analysis of NGS cancer genomics data, algorithm design and optimization of Neogenomics' technology.
