Scantec Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading FMCG Print / Packaging Manufacturing business company with a site near Newcastle.

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer OR a Multi Skilled Engineer (Elec Bias)

To provide electrical engineering support by completing planned and breakdown maintenance of equipment, ensuring it is carried out in a safe, timely and efficient manner, minimizing equipment down-time and improving line efficiency.

Shifts:
Monday to Friday, 3x shift rotation 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Summary of responsibilities:
Ensure all safety related maintenance electrical work is completed in a timely manner
Follow and improve preventative maintenance plans with the aim of reducing unplanned downtime
Support root cause investigations for repetitive breakdowns and implement permanent solutions
Be involved in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement activities
Assist with relevant project work where maintenance involvement is required
Ensure line efficiency is improved through timely repair, maintenance, and improvement of equipment
Ensure quality is improved and spoilage is reduced through timely repair, maintenance, and improvement of equipment
Work closely with other engineering team members and the production team to ensure that the business objectives are met

For this role, our client is seeking an experienced Electrical or Multi Skilled Engineer with a background in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
