    Description
    Have you ever thought about starting a rewarding & stable career such as teaching in a Primary School?
    Do you have a background in Performing Arts or Drama ?
    Have you worked in education or do you have experience supporting children of a Primary school age?

    Teaching Personnel have opportunities for graduates or degree holders starting after the Easter Holidays to work as a Teaching Assistant in Primary Schools across Newcastle and Gateshead.

    Supporting children in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis

    • Leading small intervention group work for under-performing children
    Hold a minimum under graduate degree

    • Have a strong level of Math and English to at least year 6 curriculum standard
    • Previous interaction with children age 3-12 through either formal work in education, tutoring, volunteering, mentoring, coaching, child care or other
    • Feel confident to work with small groups of children
    • Organised, punctual, passionate about education, can work well in a team
    • Creative, confident, friendly, patient and dedicated

    It would be an added bonus if you felt confident or interested in subjects such as Music, Art, Sports/ P.E, Drama, R.E, Design, Computing as well as the core subjects of Math, English, Science, History/ Geography.
