At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Social Value Officer. This role is part of the Future Combat Air (FCA) Line of Business within the Electronics Division of Leonardo. The Division designs, builds and manufactures complex electronic systems and services for the global defence market.

FCA acts as a Prime Contracting Office on behalf of the division for large-scale contracts, such as TEAM TEMPEST and the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), as well as developing a number of our own products associated with the architecture and integration of large, system of systems.


As a Senior Social Value Officer, you will hold a significant role in the Transformation Team within FCA, focussed on delivering the transformation activities in support of GCAP.

This role will play a significant role in supporting the delivery of social value initiatives in line with the strategic roadmap and plan, National Value Framework, Social Value Model.

As a Senior Social Value Officer, reporting to the FCAS ESG Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Establish and maintain a network of external stakeholders and community partners, including academia, local communities, and contacts within the public sector.
  • Assist in the process of collecting and recording data for monthly/weekly customer and internal reports.
  • Ensure the timely and highquality delivery of social value initiatives outlined in the strategic plan.
  • Work closely with other internal senior roles such as the Head of Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM), to ensure coordinated approaches across the business.
  • Prepare case studies, working with the communications team to deliver on the effective communication of activities to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate awareness sessions internally.
  • Collaborate with relevant external contacts to gather evidence and data.
  • Utilize data, local insights, and knowledge to develop targeted programs.
  • Employ innovative and sectordriven ideas to bring communities together and foster collaboration.
  • Support the engagements and coordination of activities with Enterprise partners.
  • Generate evidence in support of key programme milestones.

  • Experience of introducing and delivering change into a business, team, or across communities
  • Excellent communication skills (to all levels of seniority and nationalities/cultures)
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships quickly

  • Be extremely organised
  • Work well under pressure and with very short timescales

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAD

  • Experience of delivering on social value initiatives
  • A background in one of the following: charities sector, corporate social responsibility, community outreach/regeneration
  • Experience of working as part of an Agile team
