*Senior Technical Project Manager**£58,460 to £62,614 plus a Location allowance of £1,721. You will receive £58,460 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £62,614 will be via incremental progression.*Location: Acton**We can't disclose explicit details but can tell you we're leading advancements in emerging technologies to deliver bespoke solutions to niche and specialist areas of the Met. Due to expansion, we have a unique opportunity for a Senior Technical Project Manager who wants to work in a highly respected engineering and science environment.
Delivery of our solutions involves the complete lifecycle from developing requirements with customers, producing design solutions and turning these designs into a fully functional product or system for operational use.
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will manage a collection of TRI projects and will be responsible for delivering the innovative solutions using trusted suppliers, academia and in-house TRI engineers and scientists.
A typical day may include engaging with MPS operational officers, capturing and documenting requirements, meeting with suppliers, and partner agencies and managing innovative projects.
As well as all the formal responsibilities set out in project management methodologies, you will need written and verbal communication skills to ensure all parties are kept engaged throughout each project.
You will be someone who can readily engage and win support of others as you will be working with some of the UK's leading suppliers and prominent academic, so you will need to be able to communicate at their level.
Maintaining momentum on projects is essential to keep the operational customers focused.We would love to hear from highly motivated individuals with a passion for delivering engineering or IT projects.
