    Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a English Lecturer at our Northbrook Campus . You will join us on a part time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of pro rata of GBP26,189 - GBP40,839 per annum.

    The English Lecturer role:

    Are you a dedicated individual, passionate about English? Do you have a strong desire to shape young minds and inspire the next generation of learners?

    Look no further than Chichester College Group As Lecturer in English, you will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of learners, developing and guiding them towards their goals in GCSE and Functional Skills English.

    Ideally you will have teaching or training experience and it would be desirable to hold a Certificate in Education or PGCE, or a willingness to work towards this. If you wish to discuss this role prior to applying, please contact (url removed).

    The working pattern for this role will be discussed at interview.

    Key Responsibilities of our English Lecturer :

    • Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
    • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
    • Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
    • Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
    • Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
    • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
    • Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
    • Participating in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
    • Undertaking the delivery of literacy.

    Our ideal English Lecturer should have the below skills and experience:

    • Level 5 / 6 Academic Qualification
    • Working knowledge of teaching English GCSE or Functional Skills
    • An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
    • Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
    • Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners
