    About The Role

    This Engineer will support Technical Safety & Risk studies with the oversight of the Study Manager. The role will also assist the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability team with studies associated to ensuring the lifecycle assessment of assets and facilities are factored into conceptual studies we conduct at Genesis Energies. Experience with available industry modeling and analysis techniques and tools is preferred for this role.

    The work performed will be varied and activities include front-end conceptual studies, detailed design, operational support, and decommissioning activities. The role will be to perform Technical Safety & Risk assessments and analysis based on regulatory requirements, client standards, and drivers and be able to efficiently communicate these solutions through calculations, technical reports, and presentations.

    The Consultant engineer will be required to interface directly with clients, undertake marketing and business development activities, represent Genesis within industry working groups, and also work in a single-discipline supervisory capacity as well as be part of a multi-discipline team.

    About You

    We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

    • Experience in Technical Safety, Risk and Loss Prevention or RAM studies
    • Experience in participating (and potentially leading) formal safety workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL / LOPA
    • Experience in executing Risk studies, including QRA, FERA, and EERA, and risk-based design including ALARP demonstration.
    • Experience in Loss Prevention design including, but not limited to, Active and Passive Fire Protection, Blast Protection, F&G Systems, Hazardous Area Classification, and development of design drawings
    • Understanding of UK regulatory framework and Safety Case/COMAH etc development
    • Desire to grow in a broad project setting utilising a creative approach

    Advantageous Experience:

    • Some understanding of Functional Safety
    • PHAST, Flaresim, BowtieXP, Pipenet

    We are seeking a Consultant CFD Engineer to lead and coordinate CFD personnel, ensure satisfactory performance, be responsible for CFD content and quality, and lead the development of CFD capability in the London office.
