GiBe Finance are delighted to be supporting a US listed business in Central London, recruiting an Assistant Group Accountant into a technically strong team.

This is a great opportunity for a part qualified - newly qualified Accountant with experience in a group/head office environment to continue driving their career.

Key element of the role is to interrogate, analyse and challenge the monthly numbers submitted by the 15 regions before final submission.

Hybrid working - two days in the office (Thursday + 1)

The Role

Working with the Group Accounting team and the Business Units to deliver monthly group consolidation reporting to US parent
Analysing and reporting on various areas such as retained earnings, goodwill, intangibles, fixed assets and CAPEX
Assist with statutory account preparation for 4 head office entities working with external auditors as well as colleagues in UK and US
Assist the Finance business partner in areas such as long term/short term prepayment analysis, amortisation calculations, tech accruals, invoice matching and actual v forecast analysis
Overseeing internal system controls (preventative and detective) to provide quality assurance over financial data
Overseeing the management of the global chart of accounts
Assist the Senior Group Accountant and Head of Group Reporting with adhoc projects for corporate and group reporting
Support US Corporate teams and International Business Units on resolving queries
