    About the Role

  • Would you like a Business Intelligence Analyst role in a high performing business intelligence team providing analytical support for Public Health colleagues at Warwickshire County Council?
  • Would you like your work to contribute to helping improve the lives of residents living and working in Warwickshire and in particular the wellbeing of older people in Warwickshire?

    Ratio (Typical week): 2/3 days in office vs remaining days at home.

    We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team, helping to deliver specific areas of the business intelligence work programme through the analysis and interpretation of both contextual and service data. The role is fundamental to ensuring that senior management and commissioners have the best intelligence available to them to support decision making and service delivery, allowing the effective targeting of resources within a challenging financial environment.

    This role is offered on a full time 6-month temporary basis. Part-time working will also be considered. Secondments will also be considered from internal staff and from external partners who may be looking to gain valuable experience in a high performing Business Intelligence team.

    A specific part of this role will include responsibility to design, develop and provide a PowerBI report which will provide information and insight about the health of Warwickshire's older population. This report will be made publicly available and maintained ongoing providing a robust, trusted source of information and insight to many different types of partners as well as the general public.

    As well as this key deliverable, you will support a range of work and projects as part of the Population Health Business Intelligence work programme and you will be supported by the wider team, building on the extensive existing high quality work already developed. There will be opportunity to bring your existing experience and expertise to influence this work and depending on your existing PowerBI skills, to further develop those technical skills.

    Key Requirements

  • Degree in appropriate discipline e.g. social research, geography, statistics
  • Evidence of continued professional development in a relevant and related field
  • At least two years' experience in research or business intelligence functions
  • Experience in the use of software and tools for data analysis, presentation and visualisation including the advanced manipulation of databases and spreadsheets
