    Permanent Contract | £53,802 to £59,196 per annum (Scale M) | 37 hours per week | Norwich

    Norfolk County Council has ambitious plans, bringing change and transformation. As part of the Norfolk Audit Services management team, you will help shape and deliver our audit strategies for the County Council and Norfolk Pension Fund. These strategies will provide assurance to the Audit and Governance Committee and Executive Leaders that internal controls, risk management, governance, and counter fraud work are effective and offer best value.

    We are seeking an experienced, positive, and self-motivated individual to assist in managing our internal audit service. Working in a skilled and hardworking team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing audits that focus on value addition. The ideal candidate should be a CCAB qualified accountant or a CIIA. Essential skills for the role include solid technical expertise, business acumen, along with exceptional people and leadership abilities.

    We provide flexible working patterns and locations, including the option to work from offices in Norwich or remotely from home.     We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £53,802 to £59,196 per annum (experience dependent), along with a pension scheme and additional rewards and benefits. This role is permanent, full-time (37 hours per week), with the possibility of considering part-time requests for the right candidate.

    The successful candidate must possess a full driving licence and be willing to travel to various locations within and outside of Norfolk when necessary.
