We have an exciting new TA position to start in a mainstream primary school, with an on-site specialist SEND provision, in Bury St Edmunds in January/February.
The position is to work with pupils who are Deaf or partially Deaf. You will be working in The Hearing Impaired Unit (HIU). The role is to support the pupils during lessons and also in small groups outside of lesson time. Its to help assist in their educational journey. You will be working with pupils at KS1 and LS2 level. We will consider people full time or 3 days a week.


Anyone with experience with working with deaf adults or young people is preferable but we will also consider people who have previous experience supporting SEND pupils.


  • Will have experience of working at KS1 or KS2 level
  • Experience of working with young people with delayed speech and language
  • Be adaptable to different learning styles

  • Build great connections with young people.
