Are you passionate about promoting positive mental health and helping young individuals to lead safe and fulfilling lives?
An excellent opportunity has emerged in Headington, Oxford for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a specialized school catering to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, including those with learning disabilities.
The role involves working closely with students individually and in small groups, focusing on building strong relationships to guide them towards positive decision-making and emotional regulation. Your responsibilities will include managing challenging behavior, boosting self-esteem, and supporting the learning process.
This position is a full-time, long-term commitment starting immediately. You will be working with students aged 8 to 18, spanning from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 5.
In this supportive environment, therapeutic interventions are employed to help each child reach their full potential and overcome learning obstacles. The school provides access to an educational psychologist, counselors, and shadowing opportunities to gain insights into related career paths.
