    Description

    The hotel

    The Dixon, Tower Bridge, an award-winning boutique style hotel part of Autograph Collection Hotels opened its doors in late 2018. Taking center stage in the Tower Bridge neighbourhood on Tooley Street, The Dixon, Tower Bridge, Autograph Collection is the new cultural hub for the capital's center of artistic activity. The hotel won the Luxury Hotel of the Year in London title at the Travel & Hospitality Awards 2024.

    • Named after John Dixon Butler, the architect who originally constructed the building in 1905 as a Magistrates Court and police station, the hotel takes inspiration from the area's vibrant cultural heritage, while also capturing its new wave of creative cool.

      • The 193 rooms will redefine the traditional boutique hotel by seamlessly incorporating the local neighbourhood's culture through an artful mix of heritage design. Think simple brickwork, tall windows and modern furniture from British designers that will sit alongside more classic pieces, whilst curated artworks from local artists will hang on the walls.

      • Cleverly reflecting the buildings purpose as a courtroom, the restaurant will serve as a neighbourhood oasis that will welcome not only hotel guests but also the local trade.

    Key responsibilities / objectives

    To achieve all F&B departmental goals and KPI-s, uphold all standards and help filter down all communication and tasks to the wider F&B team to ensure a smooth and seamless F&B operation in line with brand standards of the hotel. Embodies the property's values through leading the People, Quality, Profit & Green KPIs.

    People

    • To be a hands-on leader to the team, work together with other team members and always show best practises and lead by example
    • To ensure there is effective recruitment and induction in place in F&B department
    • Encourage and mentor F&B outlets managers, supervisors and team members in the delivery of business objectives and own personal development
    • Maintain, improve and drive quality scores/targets, and to delegate duties accordingly
    • To ensure that team members have the tools required to do their job and deliver the highest levels of service

    Quality

    • To set and drive service standards to ensure guest expectations are met and exceeded
    • Efficiently deal with guest feedback and mentor other F&B managers to do the same
    • To ensure that brand standards are implemented and adhered to, including successful audit results
    • To ensure that Health and Safety, Food Safety, Allergens and Licencing policies are implemented and actively followed. Ensure that these are all trained out at Staff Inductions.
    • To drive quality scores and reviews online and in house e.g. TripAdvisor positioning

    Profit

    • To drive sales and marketing activity to support revenue targets
    • Ensure all F&B outlets get sufficient internal & external exposure to drive more business
    • To effectively manage costs (operating costs, payroll, food and beverage cost)
    • To manage and control payroll in line with business levels

    About you

    You will have had previous experience in a similar role in an upscale 4* / 5* hotel with excellent food & beverage knowledge for 2 years+, good financial awareness with an understanding of revenue streams and cost control.

    • Excellent leadership skills with experience of developing and leading a team. Enthusiastic and passionate for the industry.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills to ensure a seamless and memorable experience, proactively resolving any challenges that may arise, tracking and reviewing feedback to implement long term customer satisfaction solutions.
    • Excellent command of English and strong communication skills through a variety of means.
    • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy – great at managing one's own time and the time of the team
