    Description

    Thomas Tallis is a flourishing and popular school situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We currently have over 2000 pupils on the school roll with around 700 students in our highly competitive sixth form. We strive for excellence in all that we do underpinned by our vision of education to understand the world and change it for the better.

    We wish to appoint an outstanding Deputy SENDCO to work with the SENDCO championing inclusion and high expectations for SEND children throughout the school. You will work with Curriculum Leaders throughout the school to lead and manage the inclusion curriculum in KS3. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for the day to day running of our Support Centre for Autism and Language Impairment (SCALI).

    We are looking for someone who has:

    · a SEND-related qualification, or the willingness and ability to undertake one

    · successful experience of specialist SEND teaching and of raising the achievement of SEND students

    · the ability to design, plan and teach a SEND appropriate KS3 curriculum

    · excellent communication skills and a commitment to inclusion
