- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the qualification and availability of all personnel attending trials, including OEMs, contractors' crews, and pilots.
- Coordinate booking necessary resources such as areas, ports, tugs, and ancillary services required for the vessel during trials.
- Facilitate readiness review meetings in partnership with the Senior Company Representative and ensure timely completion of action items.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for all personnel involved in the trials.
- Generate daily plans and report trial progress to the project team.
- Work closely with the Chief Mate to ensure proper vessel manning and enforce company protocols, including Standing Orders and drug and alcohol policies.
- Liaise with customers to address their specific requirements during trials.
- Collaborate with the Bosun/Buffer to ensure the availability of necessary trial equipment and coordinate with the catering team to ensure adequate stores are onboard.
- Coordinate crew training programs and passenger familiarization sessions in conjunction with the Chief Mate.
- Maintain Next of Kin (NOK) forms and deliver them to the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) upon departure.
- Serve as a key member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Ideally suited for former Royal Navy/Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RN/RFA) personnel with experience on Hunt Class vessels a bonus.
- Strong administrative and coordination skills with an emphasis on clear communication.
- Previous experience with sea trials or a similar maritime environment is highly desirable.
