- Experience in other areas relevant to Community Child Health ( Practice), Paediatric Neurodisability (including assessment and management of children with social communication disorders, and ADHD)

- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative but with awareness of own limitations
- Positive attitude to supervision and ability to act on feedback
- Evidence of competence in and contribution to clinical audit and clinical governance

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor to join our friendly and innovative Community Paediatric and Neurodisability team.
Applications are invited from candidates with training and experience in Community Paediatrics, Neurodisability and Neurodevelopmental assessment. The post is full time, attracting 10 PAs but applicants wanting to work less than full time are encouraged to apply.
The post holder will become part of the welcoming and dynamic community paediatric and paediatric neurodisability team delivering out-patient assessment and ongoing care for children, young people and their families in whom there are concerns around development, neurodevelopmental conditions, challenging behaviour, learning, emotional well-being or other vulnerabilities.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will become part of the Community Paediatric and Neurodisability team. They will undertake neurodevelopmental assessment, autism and ADHD assessment clinics providing ongoing care for children with neurodevelopmental difficulties.
The appointee will have continuing responsibility for the patients in their care and for the safe and effective functioning of the department.
Duties will be covered by other members of the team when the appointee is on leave. The appointee will provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
