- Undertake the role of Site Person in Charge when required
- Complete Daily Site Risk Assessment as needed
- Carry out Site Inductions as necessary
- Write SPA's (Safe Plan of Action), Permit to Dig as needed
- Ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments are relevant and accessible for the task being carried out
- Assist the Site Manager with onsite direction and leadership for all site staff
- Ensure site staff fully understand the task they are performing, which may involve regular visits to the work area and questioning of staff
- Ensure site staff are working in a safe and responsible manner
- Liaise with Site Manager to ensure adequate staff are assigned to a task
- Ensure correct tools and equipment are utilized for the task
- Plan ahead with the Site Manager to ensure sufficient time, materials, resources, and tools are available for works to progress safely and smoothly
- Ability to assist in ordering sundry materials to advance works via the Oracle system
- Have a good understanding of the relevant Health and Safety Risks related to the task
- If overseeing more than one working party, may act in a supervisory role only, depending on the complexity of tasks
- Ensure site staff have the appropriate Competence to carry out the task
- Ensure all site staff are fully engaged and knowledgeable about the overall site program and individual task durations
- Ensure all site operatives adhere to site timings i.e., Start, Finish, and Break times
- Ensure tasks completed on site meet acceptable quality standards and are snag-free
- Complete Quality forms as necessary
- Motivate site staff to work safely and take pride in their work
- CITB Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
- A background in construction and the electricity industry
- Competency to work in Substations up to 132kV
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health, Safety, and Environment
- IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Hold a full valid driving license
- 25 days' annual leave plus 8 days' bank holidays

About The Role
Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Foreman to work on our UK Power Networks contract in Hertfordshire.
As a Foreman you will be part of our Substation Build Team who deliver UKPN's 11kV to 132kV Network, refurbishing and constructing new switchhouses and transformer enclosures with associated switchgear, transformers, and cabling. In this fast-paced role, you will coordinate and supervise construction activities from start to finish, acting as the main point of contact for the client.
