The Team
Our national Healthcare Regulatory team is expanding and undertakes a broad spectrum of work defending healthcare professionals and organisations in regulatory proceedings before the statutory regulators (GMC/MPTS, GDC, GOC, GPhC, NMC, HCPC) as well as disciplinary proceedings before NHS Trusts, NHS England and other private healthcare businesses. The team are regularly instructed in Coroner's Inquests, CQC proceedings, data disputes and public inquiries. There is also a specialist sub-team who defend healthcare professionals in criminal proceedings. The regulatory team is led by Jane Lang in Cardiff and Adam Weston in London.
Our Manchester Regulatory team requires an experienced Legal Director or Senior Associate to handle a varied caseload of regulatory, Inquests and criminal matters for a range of clients who include, insurance companies, medical and dental defence organisations, private individuals and professional associations.
The successful candidate needs to be able to manage a complex caseload and must have extensive experience of running regulatory, Inquest and criminal matters in previous roles. The candidate must also have experience of managing and supporting junior fee-earners and a focus on business development and supporting growth.
Requirements of the Role
