SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a graduate or a newly qualified teaching assistant wanting a long-term SEN position?
Do you want to work as part of a friendly, professional and committed school team?
Do you have other relevant experience with young people and want to work in a school?
Are you an ECT wanting to gain fantastic SEN experience?
Do you want to work with pupils aged 11-16?
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and patient Teaching Assistants to join a specialist setting in Sunderland.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing the best possible support to students with additional needs around social and emotional issues and behavioural challenges.
The school is a well thought out provision with a real focus on all learners achieving. It is on an excellent public transport route and very easy to reach by car.Requirements:
- Experience or a real desire to work with students with additional needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good level of academic ability
- Be available for work Monday to Friday
- Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to go through the process with us)
- Have a full checkable work history
