SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a graduate or a newly qualified teaching assistant wanting a long-term SEN position?

Do you want to work as part of a friendly, professional and committed school team?

Do you have other relevant experience with young people and want to work in a school?

Are you an ECT wanting to gain fantastic SEN experience?

Do you want to work with pupils aged 11-16?

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and patient Teaching Assistants to join a specialist setting in Sunderland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing the best possible support to students with additional needs around social and emotional issues and behavioural challenges.

The school is a well thought out provision with a real focus on all learners achieving. It is on an excellent public transport route and very easy to reach by car.


Requirements:


  • Experience or a real desire to work with students with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good level of academic ability
  • Be available for work Monday to Friday
  • Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to go through the process with us)
  • Have a full checkable work history
