    Description

    Severn House, part of Canongate Books, is a vibrant publishing house which produces a broad range of genre titles, from Crime & Mystery, Thrillers and Romance, to Sagas and Sci-Fi.

    This pivotal and wide-ranging role would see you working closely with the editorial team overseeing the publishing critical path.

    The individual must be passionate about books and be someone who relishes the challenge of effectively and efficiently managing processes, data and systems.

    Managing freelance editors and designers: commissioning work, providing feedback, processing invoices, keeping to budget and recruiting new freelancers as required.

    8 monthly titles, resolving queries directly with authors, agents, editors and freelancers as appropriate and ensuring all corrections are taken into texts and covers, page extent checked before signing off for print.

    At least three years' experience in publishing, ideally in Production or Editorial
    Project Management experience preferred
    IT skills such as a good knowledge of Office and working knowledge of Biblio preferred

    Salary :
    £29,000-32,000 pa depending on experience and location. This is full-time position, based out of our London or Edinburgh office and reporting into the Head of Editorial Management .
