    Permanent Veterinary Nurse, Castle Cary, Somerset

    • A salary of up to £34,200 per annum commensurate to experience?

    We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Castle Cary, Somerset for a Permanent Head Veterinary Nurse to join their team.

    The position is full time offering a 40 hour week over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 7pm. There is a 1:5 Saturday morning rota. There are no OOH.

    This is a great opportunity for a HVN who enjoys organising the operational side of a practice.

    • Type: Permanent Veterinary Nurse
    • Hours: Full time 40 Hours per week over 5 days
    • OOH: None
    • Team: 5 Vets , 4 Nurses
    • Flexible rota patterns are available to suit.
    • No Bank Holidays

    The role:

    • The role offers 40 hours per week over 5 days with shifts between 8am and 7pm. There is a 1:5 Saturday mornings.
    • The position will involve a variety of duties including

    Maintaining The Nurse rota

    HR Tasks

    Training and mentoring and encouraging CPD

    Business planning

    • This role is ideal for a motivated and ambitious nurse who has a good range of skills and someone who would like to make a difference and share and promote new ideas.
    • The RVN will be expected to be dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care and be able to work well as part of a team whilst establishing excellent working relationships with clients.
    • The role offers flexible work patterns to suit around lifestyle, school runs and school holidays.

    • They understand the difficulties that the vet industry can face, and they ensure that each member of staff support each other and strive each day to provide a positive and encouraging work environment.

    Who are they looking for:

    • The Nurse will be confident in working alongside other team leaders to ensure the smooth operational running of the practice and that a high standard of clinical care is being delivered.
    • The RVN will have a good level of experience and be looking to take on their next challenge.
    • The Nurse will have great communication skills and organisational skills and be able to work independently and also as part of a team.
    • They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily.

    Package

    • Salary: Up to £34,200 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience
    • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, incl bank holidays and birthday off
