    Principal CAD Engineer

    • Inside IR35Do you have closure & mechanisms design experience, and are you seeking a new hybrid contract role in Coventry? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative automotive company recruit a Principal Engineer specialising in closures and mechanisms, and the role comes with a pay rate of £40 per hour.

    As a Principal Engineer, you will be working in both pre and post-vehicle programme KO phases and will take responsibility for technical delivery to cost, quality, and time for tasks and activities.

    Support the APC, Lead Engineer, Body & Closures in all day-to-day activitiesEngineering BoM developmentCost and weight pack development and weight BoM managementDFMEA & DVP creation & maintenanceInterface with cross functional teams (Package, Analysis, Manufacturing, DVA etc) &,implement recommendations where appropriate to create a right first time releaseLeading the development of the 3D and 2D models for closure & mechanism engineeringParticipate in cross functional integration reviews for components & systems, considering technical application, form, function & harmonisation of the executionDevelop timing plans and develop scope-of-work documents with key deliverables identifiedTo apply for this Principal Engineer
    • CAD Closure & Mechanisms position, you will need to be Degree qualified or similar qualification as a minimum.
    Ability to create and manipulate geometry for primary communication of concepts and schemesCatia v5/v6 operative skills and demonstrate high technical competenceExperience in using TCUA (Team Centre) and PLM is preferableEngineering experience in the delivery of the designated module systems in the automotive sector or similar industriesEvidence of engineering skills, including the ability to manage and resolve engineering issuesUnderstands roles & needs of different client groups.
