    Description

    A long-established niche manufacturing organisation in the heart of Birmingham, we have created a role for a CADCAM Engineer.

    This is a crucial role, and seen as a key position, whilst we strive to continue to improve our working environment and productivity. Reporting directly to the Head of Technical and Head of Production, this a vital role.

    You would be joining a hugely rewarding organisation. Huge recent investment has gone into the actual facility, making it a pristine working environment, like no other. Landscaped gardens to enjoy lunch in the summer Luxuriously designed kitchen areas for breaks and lunch. Shop floor and offices are all ergonomically designed for comfort and ease.

    • Duties of CAD/CAM Engineer

  • Using CAD/CAM software to create engineering drawings and programs
  • Set and programme CNC Milling machines (MAZAK and XYZ)
  • Utilising existing tooling and fixtures
  • Prove and set programmes before handing over to production
  • Create greater efficiencies within the library of existing drawings
  • Develop and improve manufacturing methods
  • Create digital information folders to help staff to use during the manufacturing process, including programme detail and fixture, Tooling detail
  • Setting cycle time detail

    • Requirements for CAD/CAM Engineer:

  • CADCAM experience
  • Ability to programme CADCAM machines
  • To have the skills to programme CNC Milling machines
  • To be able to develop and maintain digital documentation systems
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organised
