    Are you looking to join a team who are passionate about caring for children and young people? This is an exciting opportunity for a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the International and Private Care (I&PC) division.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and forwardthinking nurse who has experience within BMT and CAR-T (Kymriah) and is keen to develop their career within the Clinical Nurse Specialist scope of practice.

    The role will encompass management of international BMT and CAR-T (Kymriah) patients whilst inpatient and their outpatient and shared
    care.

    Our patients vary in complexity and acuity, ranging from outpatients, day case to high dependency care hence you will develop an impressive repertoire of clinical and leadership skills.

    To act as the key worker providing information, clinical advice and support to children and families undergoing and following Bone marrow transplant and CAR-T (Kymriah)

    • To work alongside the ACP who leads in BMT care and to support the service provision and development.
    • To provide effective clinical nursing, expertise, advice and support to nursing staff caring for children and families and ensure the provision of high quality care to children, young people and their families.
    • To act as a designated resource to children and families, and other professionals caring for them.
    • To promote an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidencebased practice.
    • To take responsibility for relevant transformation projects, quality outcome measures patient experience and assisting in the implementation into practice.
    • To work closely with the ACP/ANP, CNS and specialist nursing to ensure cover when required for annual leave, clinical shifts, or days off.

    Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) registered nurse in relevant branch
    Evidence of ongoing, dynamic continuing professional development within the specialty, linked to demonstrable clinical competencies
    Demonstrable knowledge of BMT and CAR -T (Kymriah )
    Experience of managing a case load and coordinating patient care
    Experience of handling clinical incidents and complaints
    Understanding of resource management, health and safety, clinical risk and quality issues
    Expert knowledge and understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
    Effective teaching and training skills

    The recruitment process for all admin and clerical roles at Bands 2-4 will be a two stage recruitment process whereby shortlisted candidates will undertake an online literacy, numeracy, ICT and typing test.
