Description

We have a new, exciting opportunity for an experienced trainer within our Faculty of Education, working across the whole Trust.

The Trust's offering of in-house apprenticeship delivery is a new provision.

You will work as part of the Apprenticeship Delivery Team to run this service and meet the Trust's 5-year business plan.


You will work with a diverse range of internal colleagues and external partners to create apprenticeship opportunities that enable staff to develop and progress, regardless of where they work in the Trust or the job they do.


You can be based at either Ipswich or Colchester General Hospital, although there will be the requirement for occasional travel to other Trust Sites as required.


To coordinate the planning and delivery of Apprenticeship training programmes within the trust for Healthcare Assistants including any mandatory qualifications.

To facilitate face to face support to evidence acquisition of the required knowledge, skills and behaviours of the apprenticeship standard

To carry a caseload of Apprentices and plan support through all aspects of their programme to include in-learning, gateway and successful achievement of the End Point Assessment

To liaise with and support all parties involved in the Apprenticeship journey ensuring that everyone is informed and kept up to date with progress and achievement

To work closely with the Lead Technical Trainer to devise individual programmes in line with the needs of the Apprentice and their working area

Coordinate the 'on programme' element of the Apprenticeship and support collation of portfolio of evidence that showcases the Apprentice's knowledge, skills and abilities to their best standard

To ensure any mandatory training or internal training is mapped across in to the Apprenticeship to maximise and capture naturally occurring knowledge, skills and behaviours

Coordinate the delivery of group based teaching sessions as and when required

To meet regularly with the line managers to review progress and set targets in line with the programme delivery

Complete all tasks required for funding and compliance in a timely manner to facilitate claims and to meet audit requirements

Provide updates and reports during caseload reviews, identifying any learners who may be at risk along with plans for support and required interventions

To support delivery and assessment for English and maths Functional Skills as required

Take part in regular standardisation meetings as and when required

Support external monitoring visits as and when required, for example: EQA, ESFA and Ofsted.
